Sorry for the noob question, but...

I'm very familiar with Cisco's Collaboration Service Release (CSR), including CUCM, CUC, etc., but I have a customer situation that is inquiring about "TAPI capabilities."  I do not know more details other than the customer wants to do do various things via TAPI integration to the phone system...


Does this mean that Windows PCs will just simply need IP level access to the CUCM?  Does anything special have to be configured on the CUCM?  Licensed?  Customized?  I'm not sure whether this TAPI integration just works and is all external to CUCM or whether there is any coding, customization, etc. required on the CUCM side.

Can someone please help enlighten me ASAP?  I need a crash course on this stuff...haha
