Anyone have a solution to this?

%CDP-4-DUPLEX_MISMATCH: duplex mismatch discovered on GigabitEthernet1/14 (not half duplex), with AP8252 GigabitEthernet0 (half duplex).

Running Mobility Express 8.5.103.0.

The duplex mismatch is coming up on all 3 WAP's (on different 2960G/3560G switches)

Also seeing this issue in the logs almost every minute, only on ports connected to 2702i and 2802i.
WLC version 8.3.133.0.

Connected to Catalyst 2960S (WS-C2960S-48TS-L) version 15.0(2)SE10.

Example:

%CDP-4-DUPLEX_MISMATCH: duplex mismatch discovered on GigabitEthernet1/0/48 (not half duplex), with AP-8-102 GigabitEthernet0 (half duplex).

%CDP-4-DUPLEX_MISMATCH: duplex mismatch discovered on GigabitEthernet1/0/41 (not half duplex), with AP-8-109 GigabitEthernet0 (half duplex).

I have one AP1852 with the same problem and another one who it's working corectly.

The main difference betwen this 2 AP, the good one it's connected on a switch with an old version of IOS c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-46.SE.bin and the bad one on a switch with an recently IOS c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-2.SE9.bin

Hi All ,

I am facing this duplex issue between AIR-AP3802I-B-K9 and WS-C3850-24XU-S

Apr 26 11:53:12.475: %CDP-4-DUPLEX_MISMATCH: duplex mismatch discovered on TenGigabitEthernet1/0/6 (not half duplex), with AP14 GigabitEthernet0 (half duplex).

I checked the config of Gi0 on AP and it was full duplex

AP Name AP14
Speed 5000 (Mbps)
Operational Status UP
Duplex FULL

Switch config is below :

sz01#sh ru int Ten 1/0/6
interface TenGigabitEthernet1/0/6
description AP
switchport trunk native vlan 900
switchport mode trunk
auto qos trust dscp
ip dhcp snooping trust
end

I am planing to hardcode the duplex on switch to fix this .

Any other ideas experts ?

I saw a bug being filed for another model of AP .. anything related to these ?

DK

I see this only on 2802i APs connected to some 3560 v1 and v2 switches.  The only interim change has been AP code upgrades.  I suspect those switches haven't been rebooted in a while but we had some power issues recently and this behavior began after the switches came up.

The only consistent pattern in my case is the AP model and code. I have no 3802s to test with.

I have this issue too with 2802i on a 5508 running 8.3.x

1. Does this cause a service interruption to the clients or is this a annoying entry in the log?

2. Is there a fix for this?

Same problem. I turned off CDP for all 3802 access points.2800s and 1850s do not have the problem. Hopefully next update will resolve the nuisance.

IOS Version 8.3.141.0
