Why the hell has this not been added to your code yet, and how can you possibly sell the FTD image as an "Upgrade" to the ASA, when it can't even run advanced DHCP options? This is pathetic.

Unreal, isn't it? Cisco clearly has no clue where their products are positioned. These things can't even do local user databases for VPN. Does Cisco think most small businesses of 5 people have RADIUS servers or AD?

FDM 6.5 is here. Still cannot replace ASA 5505s with Firepower 1010s without buying a server to run DHCP and assign DHCP options to phones and other devices. Insane.
This is why Palo Alto is killing Cisco.

Not provisioning DHCP options after the ASA had them is a very serious mistake. How can a FirePower 1010 or other device be considered a branch/SOHO office device without the ability to provide DHCP options? I'm rhetorical when I ask, although these should be seriously reviewed questions inside Cisco: Who would make the call to remove DHCP options and consider the product ready for branch/small office locations? What type of strategy is that? How many customers are going to read this now that they also, too, are disappointed it's no longer there? Why is such a basic feature not supported only by the very latest FirePower NGFW on the market?
At the very least, it would be helpful to at least choose to use the same NTP options for DHCP as the FirePower device requires for itself, even if that weren't a configurable option. FDM has a good bit of maturing ahead, and FMC is a real failure of a configurator, hopefully soon to be replaced by a mature and easy to use CDO. Meraki had the right idea and made it work.

Hello? Cisco?
