I've experienced the same issue on multiple phones in our environment. Swapping handsets and cords did not resolve the issue. I had to replace the phone. These phones were all purchased on the same order in 2016.

Same issue here.  Just popped up on one phone even though we have a lot of 88XX phones.  Wish they would create a fix for it.
