I believe I observe a similar problem on a WS-C3850-48XS-S stack of two devices (Stackwise-Virtual stack). The attached access switch (downstream) is a Dell N2048. Connection is MLAG (Port-channel with interfaces on both catalyst chassis). The upstream device is a pair of WS-C6807-XL L3 switches.
Some devices on the N2048 send DHCPDISCOVER, the DHCP server receives that and replies with DHCPOFFER. The DHCPOFFER packet traverses die C6807 and goes to the C3850. But it never reaches the N2048 or the end device, so it must somehow vanish on the C3850.
Funny thing is, I can't test anymore because after disabling the LACP Port-channel to the N2048 for a short time, all devices got DHCPOFFER packets. So for now, I have to wait for the problem to arise again...
Has anyone similar problems?
