CSCvn98185 - ACI 3rd Party SFPs/transceivers stuck in down (notconnect) state

This bug is listed at Terminated, meaning it has been decided they will not fix this "bug". Is this writing on the wall that support for third party optics won't be allowed in future releases of ACI? We use primarily third party optics, and are in the process of installing more leaf switches. Are we going to have to be weary of upgrading ACI code levels?

I was also thinking of using cheaper 3rd party optics in our ACI Leafs, but reading this and the lack of any further commentary from Cisco on whether this will ever change has forced me to reconsider.
