I'm experiencing this same bug even though I'm on a code version that is listed as a "Fixed Version". This is causing erroneous "up" and "down" alerts from our monitoring software. Very annoying.

Running Gibraltar 16.11.1c and this issue is occurring for us as well.  DNA Center and Logic Monitor both cause the problem.  I don't know how to do the block OID thing but if you stop the offending application from polling, it stops the problem.  Just that now you can't use the switch in those environments until you upgrade or find another solution.

I was able to correct the issue I was seeing by disabling any port not connected which stifled the flood of false reports. The problem only seems to occur on interfaces that have a SFP installed with nothing connected. Not a great fix, but the workaround has been successful so far.
