CSCvq95397 - Standby WLC continuously reboots with "Reason Certificate transfer from active to standby Failed" 5508 HA

So I was about to HA my 5508 running 8.5.151.0 and just found this bug.

I see there is no resolution for it - strange! Surely other people are running 5508s on the latest software in HA........no?

So then I see Cisco have released 8.5.160.0 - but I cannot find CSCvq95397 but in either resolved or open Caveats.

Does anyone know what is going on with this bug? Surely it's a pretty serious one....

Raise a TAC Case and get TAC to verify what version is this bug fixed in.

I was able to work around this issue by powering off standby node, restarting primary and then powering on standby.

Power cycling the secondary multiple times allowed ours to eventually come back up.

Hi, 

The problem in my case was caused by a saving of the configuration from the CLI.

This action caused the switchover and later highlighted the problem.

to solve:
power off the WLC in maintenance mode.
Reload the active WLC and turn on the secondary WLC.

Check the configuration because it may have lost the last unsaved changes.
