CSCvr76947 - After upgrade, rebooting a leaf switch causes it to boot to loader

Hi,

i plan to upgrade the fabric from 3.2(9b) to  the 4.2(3n) Release.

So i saw the open bug and my question is,...

 

1) Is the problem fixed with the workaround. I read, that the image is missing in the bootflash after the reboot. So i think, that the problem can not fixed, with execute the run the "setup-bootvars.sh"?

2) We have N9K-C93180YC-FX Switches in the fabric. Are the FX- Switches affected. 

 

Please give me more detailed informations about to fix the problem.

Hi,

last weekend we have upgraded the fabric from 3.2(9b) to 4.2(3n).

The "boot to the loader" issue did not occur.

The boot string settings are ok.

You can check the settings with following command:

 

Leaf# cat /mnt/cfg/0/boot/grub/menu.lst.local
Leaf# cat /mnt/cfg/1/boot/grub/menu.lst.local

 

So, all works fine with N9k-C93180YC-FX and N9K-C9364C Switches.
