We are running NXOS version 9.3.7 and are also experiencing this bug. Unlike what is listed in the description both of our power were showing as shutdown and were alerting in our NMS. The switch was online and operating without issue otherwise. Reseating of the power supplies has resolved the issue.

Looking at the bug, still, no resolution, as you mentioned not affecting the working environment, but NMS giving alerts, so suggest to Open a TAC case for an alternative method to fix it.
