1. Have you obtained new certifications or are you preparing for any?

Yes, I am currently preparing to take the CCIE Enterprise Wireless Certification exam.

2. What has been the most challenging project you have done?

All projects have their challenges, either because they are projects with a large number of equipment to implement or because there are always innovative technologies that we must understand to successfully complete the implementation. Three years ago, I had the fantastic opportunity to participate in a project that combined both characteristics, a lot of equipment and new technologies. This project dealt with the Felipe Ángeles Airport. A new airport that was built from scratch in the metropolitan area of Mexico.

3. What has been the project that you are most proud of and why?

The Felipe Ángeles Airport project undoubtedly fills me with pride and makes me incredibly happy to think of all the effort my colleagues made to meet the objective. We had little time and many of us migrated technologies, in my case it was the jump from AireOS equipment to IOS XE, with a totally new configuration model.

4. How do you think the use of AI will impact technology?

Artificial intelligence (AI) is significantly transforming various technological areas such as automation, facilitating the automation of complex and repetitive tasks, which improves efficiency in sectors such as manufacturing. It also encourages emerging technologies, driving advances in areas such as autonomous vehicles, advanced robotics and the Internet of Things (IoT), creating autonomous systems that operate without human intervention. Innovating in the health sector, revolutionizing medical care. And finally, having a very important impact on employment; although AI generates new jobs in development and management, it could also automate certain jobs, which raises the need to update skills in various sectors. In short, AI is improving many processes and opening up new opportunities in multiple industries. However, it also brings ethical and social challenges, such as job replacement.

5. What are the challenges facing IT today?

The current challenges facing the IT sector are varied and driven by rapid technological advancement and increasing business and user expectations. I could identify cybersecurity, scalability and flexibility of network infrastructure, migration of services and infrastructure in the cloud and finally the ongoing shortage of experts in areas such as cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

6. What projects do you have in the future and how can we collaborate with you?

The main project is to prepare to take and pass the CCIE Enterprise Wireless Certification exam next year.

7. What would you like to be able to solve in the world thanks to technology?

If I could use technology to solve a global problem, I would focus on closing the gap in access to quality education. Education is a powerful tool that can transform lives and societies, but millions of people around the world still do not have access to adequate educational opportunities due to poverty, geographic location or lack of infrastructure.

8. Tell us something that few people know about you.

I love caffeine, I can drink up to 8 cups of 250ml coffee a day and I have a special liking for cigars.

9. If you could make a wish, what would it be?

My father left this earthly plane very recently, without a doubt, seeing him again and kissing him would be my most cherished wish.
