Hi All,
When I am doing a particular certification, I am a bit of a perfectionist and for any certification I usually do a video training first, followed by reading the book and then exam.
I also do labs and practice so I remember the contents however this is very slow as a CCNP can take around 6 month and I know people pass their CCIE in that time.
what I want to find out is how do you approach your certification exams ?
for instance, I am studying for my CCIE now but at the same time , I could easily pass CCNA in Wireless, design and data center however I don't do it as won't have time to read the book fully.
the problem I see with above is getting a higher paid jobs and securing contracts easier which leads me to believe that I should give up my normal routine of video, full book, practice and then test and do video straight to test with abit of practice
at the end of the day no one can remember everything and most people forget technologies if they don't work with it for few weeks.
what is your view?
