Hello all,
I don't know why, but the trouble report I got yesterday just struck
me as being pretty humorous and I thought others might have some
similar user reporting that might brighten our day
Being a Voice guy I thought this was pretty sweet!
Cheers!

Hey folks,
It's been quite awhile since I received a funny trouble report
but this one yesterday got me chuckling
One of our security peeps sent me a report related to an
Emergency phone here on our campus. He indicated that
the voice of the caller's sounded like;
"Charlie Brown's teacher"
If you've ever seen a Charlie Brown cartoon you'll get
the reference
Cheers!

Ok so here is my one.
Several years ago whilst working on our Service Desk I get a phone call.
Caller : my pc can't connect to the Internet.
Me : ok, let's check a few things, is the blue cable plugged into the back of the PC?
C: Yes.
M: Ok and is the other end plugged into the data point in the wall.
Few seconds silence.
C: Yes it is.
M: Ok do you have a connection to the Internet now?
C: No.
M: Ok reboot your computer.
C: Ok
M: ( once pc restarts) Do you have a connection now?
C: No
M: Ok is the cable plugged in to wall, can you check?
C: Yes it is.
M: Ok is the other end plugged into the computer and do you se an orange and green light?
Few seconds pause.
C: the cable is plugged in but I see no lights.
At this stage I am thinking dodgy NIC, dodgy cable possible failed switch port, all the usual stuff. The it hit s me.
M: Can you confirm that the cable is plugged in to the wall and the PC at the same time?
C: No the cable is not long enough.
Sound of me falling off my chair.
It's true it really did happen.....
