You are quite correct I am running an air gapped system. I am in touch with Cisco TAC and I have a Cisco CCIE on site to carry out these upgrades. Will the help of Cisco I managed to uncover .magshell this is the missing link I was looking for.

If you want to use the cd command you must be in restricted shell

To access the magshell, you can use the following command: cd /home/maglev/.magshell/artifacts

please save all files in the artifacts directory as this directory has the most space and will not cause service disruption of the partition gets full.

Customer is attempting to upgrade their Cisco Catalyst Center appliance to run DNAC-AURA version 1.7.4. However, they require a consent token from Cisco Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) to disable the restricted shell on their devices. This upgrade is crucial for the Customer's operations as it likely impacts their network management capabilities. The upgrade is necessary for the following instances: Serial Numbers WMP2526008V, WMP25260089, WZP25230RCK, WZP25240KZV, WZP252303Z8, and WZP25230KLU.

Customer is planning an upgrade to an air gapped Cisco Catalyst Center. The necessary files have been transferred using winSCP sftp to the directory \root\tmp. However, when attempting to SSH onto the appliance, Customer is unable to navigate to the root directory to access and execute the files. The file in question is a 40GB image, and permissions have been granted. Customer is seeking guidance on navigating the Cisco Catalyst Center CLI to complete the upgrade process. Technical Indicators: - File transferred: CatC-SW-2.3.7.7-70047-CSCwn89323-AIRGAP.SMU.bin - Directory: \root\tmp - SSH access issue to root directory

Unless this is an airgap deployment, you don't need to transfer any files to the Catalyst Center to upgrade. If you are transferring files to upgrade via airgap, then you should already have a TAC case open as they will need to provide the files to begin with.

So why are we attempting to access the file system?
