DNAC syncing problem and slow provision

I have two issues with DNAC

1. Sync between WLC and DNAC i slow and there is no way to manually force sync. To be more specific: when i migrate APs to a 9800-80 (from a old 8540 WLC) and try to provision them i DNAC - i am unable to provision because the APs are stil assosiated with the old WLC (according to DNAC). When I try to manually sync the WLC (from Provision - Inventory - Actions - Inventory -Resync device), Associated WLC IP field for the APs is still the old WLC. The only way is to wait - and it can take upto 30 minutes before I can provision the APs. The is not acceptable when i have a downtime window. is the no way to manually force this sync? Any tips?

2. When provision multiple (for instance 100) APs DNAC uses 10 minutes or more - is this normal? When i go to tasks - i see multiple task and less then 10 APs per job.

A manual sync should do the trick to inform DNAC of which controller the APs are connected to. Potentially it could help to manually sync with both WLC if both are managed by DNAC. Enhancements of AP discovery was also introduced in version 2.3.7.6.

Provisioning APs from different sites seems to be different tasks, which is quite annoying if you want to provision APs on many sites.

Only the 9800 is managed by DNAC, so its not possible to manually sync the 8540 (and that should not be necessary either).

I am gonna try version 2.3.7.6 (now running 2.3.5.6 ).

You can still sync the 8540 since it's in the inventory of the DNAC even if you don't manage it from DNAC. And if it's not in the inventory, then how does DNAC even know about the APs? But I agree, you shouldn't have to. And the recurring sync should have already done that by now. 

You could also attempt to delete the APs from DNAC.

Thank you for the trying to help, but I tried to resync the 8540 without any results. I am not able to delete the AP since DNAC thinks its still managed by the 8540.

Before moving APs from the old 8540 WLC to the new 9800-80, make sure that the APs are completely cleared from the old controller's database. You can do this by removing the AP entries on the old controller using the following command on the 8540:

config ap unjoin <AP-NAME>

Also, ensure that the APs have no residual configuration on the old WLC that might cause DNAC to maintain outdated associations.
