VLANs in CLI Templates on Catalyst Center

Hey all, I am trying to the do most basic thing anyone would ever want to do on a switch using an automation tool. Define a VLAN in a CLI template and push to the switches.

Is this possible in Catalyst Center? When I put VLAN commands in a CLI template it says there are conflicts. And they do not get pushed to the switches when I check show run.

I know I am doing something wrong but I have done the dcloud demos, read the guide and watched hours of youtube videos and all of that covers other stuff, not the most basic of creating a VLAN.

what version of DNAC and what end device (Hope all Cat 9K)

is this single switch or Multiple switches you pushing this VLAN configuration ?

The error also provide any device have already have VLAN exists so that will generate error, Make sure you you re-sync all devices before you push the VLAN config (after verification there is no VLAN already exists).

what VLAN number you creating (Hope not VLAN1).

Hello @dodgerfan78, I do this regularly and it works just fine. The error you are seeing in the editor is due to an abundance of caution in how they warn about potential conflicts. There is no evaluation of output from the template, it just triggers on commands that _could_ come in conflict with other intent.

We will need some more details to be able to assist you with this. Can you post the specific template you are using?  Is the template added to your network profile, and is the profile assigned to your device? Do you get any errors when provisioning the switch(es)?
