CLI 3.6.7 Authenticity of RSA fingerprint cannot be verified

Since the upgrade to 3.6.7 I get a popup "The authenticity of host "x.x.x.x" can't be established. RSA key fingerprint is unavailable. Are you sure you want to continue connecting?"

I had this problem too, it is caused by Cisco blocking all host key types except for RSA.

I have attached a patch that fixes this issue for the ed25519 host key type.

Any other keytype will probably work, if it is supported by the node library they are using.

The very strange decision to force RSA is beyond me, this was a two line minor change.

If it matters, assume MIT license for my changes. Use at will.

Thank you, at least I'm not the only one with this. I haven't delved into the program or debug much, where would the patch file pe placed or added?

If you are on Windows, in Program Files.
