I had the same issue.  Even adding my id into the admin group directly did not work.

I had to login with the server local admin account and then it worked.

v3.1.2

Hi All

Am trying to install UCS SCOM MP 3.1.2 on windows 2012 but getting some error while running the MSI file. As per some search, there is a bug in the cisco MP which relates to the link below.

https://tools.cisco.com/quickview/bug/CSCuv84558

If any one has come across this issue & has some solution to resolve this. Please advise.

Hi Raghavendra,

The issue is because of user groups that might have circular membership. Please remove the circular membership of the groups or use a different 'USER' for installation which is member of 'Domain Admins'.

Hi Raghavendra,

Such issues might require some debugging to be done, it is better if you could raise a case with Cisco TAC

You can also raise a case with Cisco support team here:

Cisco Support - Software Downloads, Product Documentation, Support Tools, and Support Cases - Cisco Systems

Thanks,

From the availability point of view, wanted to check with does SCOM can generate availability report for all the UCS components in domain like FI, IOM, blade server, rack server & etc from out of the box solution using SCOM Management pack for UCS.

Thanks

Hi Amit,

I have an open TAC case. Can you pull it and try to contact me. I have tried most of the thing in this thread and still I'm not seeing any data being pulled in the SCOM monitoring >inventory section.

Thanks,

Juan Jimenez

Hi Juan,

I will require the TAC SR ID to look into the case, could you please provide that?

Thanks,

I was able to install and UCS Management Service and import the UCS management Packs into SCOM, (4.0.1) and nothing is being discovered into SCOM under Monitoring. The RunAs account being used is the same credentials used to log into the UCS Manager. Any assistance would be great. Thanks.

Hi,

We are running Cisco UCS Management Pack version 4.1.1 on SCOM 2012 R2.

We have the Cisco UCS Domain instances with UCSM Version 2.2(8d).

We have successfully imported the Cisco UCS Management Pack 4.2.1 and also upgraded the Cisco UCS Monitoring Service.

But while running the script to update UCS Instances we are getting the following message:

Even though the script generated the below error, we noticed the Custom Management Pack (Overrides - Cisco
UCS) in which the UCS instances are saved has also updated to version 4.1.2. So does this mean the UCS instances are updated?

Hi Experts,

Anyone please assist/update on the above described issue.

Thank you!

Hi Sreejeet,

This error occurred because you do not have the UCS Central and IMC Management Pack in your SCOM.

And you ran the script without any switch.

In your case you should have run the script with -UCSManager switch to update only UCS Manager instances.

There are no issues updating UCS Manager instance.
