Cisco UCS Manager Plugin for vCenter/vRealize Orchestrator (Release 1.0(1))

vCenter Orchestrator is a development and process automation platform that provides a library of extensible workflows that allow you to create and run automated, configurable processes to manage the VMware vSphere infrastructure. vCO via its open plug-in architecture allows you to integrate with other management and administration solutions as well.

Cisco UCS Manager plugin leverages the open plugin architecture of the vCenter Orchestrator in order to integrate the vCO with the UCS. Cisco UCS Manager plugin exposes its APIs to vCO as JavaScript objects and administrators will be able to make use of the vCO to create actions & define workflows and thereby orchestrate management and monitoring of virtual as well as physical infrastructure through vCO.

Cisco UCS Manager Plugin, Release 1.0.1, for vCenter Orchestrator is available now at cisco.com

Note: Plugin release 1.0.1 is not backward compatible. Workflows created using the beta release of the plugin will NOT work with the release 1.0.1.

Informations about what ports / protocols should be opend between vco / UCS would help. Also, the documentation is lacking information about how to configure a account in ucs in order for the vco plugin to work and what permissions it should have. Then it would be nice to know what syntax to use when entering the plugin configuration in the vCO Configuration page. I so was was not able to create a account that works with the plugin.

please also note: the configuration page for plugins is deprecated. you should use a configuration workflow in an configuration sub-folder within your vco-workflow library for the plugin configuration.

besides of that: glad to see that cisco has choosen the right path to support the future of SDDC automation by integrating with vCO.
