DNAC 2.2.3 RMA for LAN Automated device

Hi

DNAC 3 Node Cluster version 2.2.3.4

We seeking help on RMA process for on of our LAN Automated faulty CAT 9300 series switch. We are following the 2.2.3 user guide however it doesnt have much clarity on the RMA process. We knew that from 2.2.3 version DNA Center support RMA process on LAN Automated device as well.

In our scenario, the faulty switch (lan automated and part of a sd-access fabric with static port assignements) have two uplinks to intermediate switches. Since the switch is completely down, we have connected a brand new switch (same model) to the existing uplinks, both uplinks are up. We have also marked the faulty switch as "Marked to replace". however, as you can imagine, in the replace device workflow, we will not be able to see the replacement device as its never onborded thru pnp or never discovered. what we will do in such scenarios ? we tried to open tac cases, but they are keep forwarding the user guide.

appreciate your help

Thanks / Rajesh

Thank you Marce

However, this is not solving out issues. so is it mandatory to bring the replacement device to DNAC DB? if that is the case, what will happen to the replacement device old ip address?

Thank you For the reponse, the PDF refers to an old DNAC, DNAC 2.2.3.4 supports RMA for Lan automated.

I think There is no complete automated or zero touch way of RMA, you have to connect the replacement switch to network and do a pnp or manual discovery, then run the RMA workflow. someone can confirm on this? anybody have done this?
