Can you use DNAC to archive your network devices configurations?

AFAIK you cannot archive network device configurations via DNAC.  This would be a good feature request to mention to your reps.  TBH I am not currently sure if this is already roadmapped or not.  Note that you do have the ability to manually view device config from DNAC inventory and export the CLI output to txt files.

Hello @Mike.Cifelli - agree with your comments but users should be aware that the config that DNAC offers you via the GUI is a sanitized version - it means all the sensitive data has been scrubbed - you cannot use this output to restore a device - it's only partially useful - mostly useful for reviewing the configuration - but not at all useful for disaster recovery.

Nothing beats logging into a device (like Prime did) and then issuing the copy running sftp:// command to dump the config on a remote repository. DNAC will hopefully catch up one day.

There is a new "Configuration Archive" feature in Cisco DNA Center version 2.1.x.x.  This allows you to use the API to export the configuration files: runningconfig, startupconfig, and the vlan.dat files for the network devices.

OTHER WAYS TO GET DEVICE CONFIGURATION INFO FROM THE CISCO DNA CENTER UI
Cisco DNA Center UI provides some other ways to get device configuration information:
* Provision.Inventory.Device - Export CLI Output

* Provision.Inventory.Device - Command Runner

* Configure an EEM script for the network devices to copy off configurations to a TFTP server

This new feature is not like Prime as mentioned in a later post but this allows you to gather the configuration files for your Network Devices...
