We need to RMA a DNA appliance. Has anyone done that, and what is the procedure to restore the backup? Thanks.

I have not had to RMA a physical DNAC appliance. I suggest getting with a Cisco rep to do so or open a ticket with TAC. As far as the backup process see here: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/cloud-systems-management/network-automation-and-management/dna-center/1-2/admin/b_dnac_admin_guide_1_2/b_dnac_admin_guide_1_2_chapter_0101.html

Something to keep in mind as a potential workaround if you have remote backup issues is that you can actually do a backup to a partition on the dnac appliance or on one of the nodes in the cluster. Just make sure that you have enough space. Once completed tar up the directory where everything is for the backup, and use winscp to pull it off the server. We had several issues in the past with remote backups that have now been fixed since moving to 1.3.1.3. TAC actually suggested the local backup and removal process. Anyways, good luck & HTH!
