License installation in DNAC

Hello All,

We have procured Advantage license for DNA.

Questions -

1. Do I need to bind advantage license to DNAC via smart account or Cisco will do it for valid SN automatically.

2. As per document New switches will come with preinstalled advantage license, But what about old switches, Will have to manually enable license on all switches post discovery?

3. Can I check from smart account how many device license are mapped against one DnAc box or will have to check from DNAC GUI only?

1. you will do it by register switches by generating token from smart licensing portal.

2. do these switches support DNA licensing and DNAC compatible?

3. Yes

From the Cisco DNA Center Home Page, select License Manager from the Tools tiles. The License Management page contains tabs with the following information:

• Switches—Shows purchased and in-use information for all switches.

• Routers—Shows purchased and in-use license information for all routers.

• Access Points—Shows purchased and in-use license information for all wireless controllers and access points.

• ISE—Shows purchased and in-use license information for devices managed by Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).

• All Licenses—Shows comprehensive details for all types of licenses for all Cisco devices.
