Hello,

Working on intra core network design with 2 castyle 4510 core switchs directly connected to the access switchs.

Core switch running HSRP for redundancy  and OSPF running for connecting other back bone also all servers connected to the core switchs, layer 2  link is using between core switchs. Now decided to add 2 distribution switchs for sharing traffic load because of some time CPU utilization of core switchs come on 100 %

The question is this which configuration will keep same on core switchs and what  to add new in distribution switchs..

If the Distribution layer is added, the new switches must get the VLAN/ Trunk configuration to fit to the existing Network. For Network Management the new switches need an IP address (Default in VLAN 1).
