We have some remote FIs and when using Intersight to manage firmware, we have not seen a way to speed up this process for remote sites. Our goal is to stick to our downtime windows but there is no way to tell the upgrade process to download the firmware only via Intersight and pause. Basically trying to pre-stage it. I noticed on Intersight that there is a Software Repository but messing with that it seems to imply it's for stand alone servers only. So what are the best methods to pre-stage firmware for an FI locally? I read somewhere that the upgrade process looks on the FI itself first and if so what is that location?
