Currently, on Cisco IOx platforms, Docker containers are converted to Linux Containers (LXC) by ioxclient and deployed as such in the Guest-OS. Although Cisco offers some tools to manage and monitor containers, there are many more tools available that integrate with Docker as well as Docker features that simply aren't available for LXC. Additionally, there seems to be a much bigger community to support Docker.
Has anyone successfully installed Docker in the Guest-OS (Yocto Linux) on the IR829 and ran actual Docker containers? Has Cisco announced (or likely to announce) any such official support for this coming in the future?
