CCNP Certification

I have plan to take CCNP certification but have some question below.

1. Can we take CCNP certification without take CCNA exam?

2. Is there any kind of CCNP certification or just there are only one CCNP certification?

1 - you do not need to take CCNA - but good to have CCNA and CCNP

2 - CCNP have a couple of tracks in different segments.
