Proximity "Finding video systems..."

Hi

I have a problem with connection to device cisco SX10.

I have checked and Proximity has access to the microphone. I have unchecked, quit Proximity, re-checked, started Proximity, no joy. Reboot the Mac, no joy.

If i use external microphone everything works fine.

Operating System: Mac OS X
Operating System Version: 10.14.6
Proximity version: 3.0.6

Re: Proximity "Finding video systems..."

The same issue here and a few Macbooks Pro impacted.

In the proximity log file I can see errors like below:

AudioRecorderError action=AudioQueueStart errorCode=-66681 errorDescription=kAudioQueueErr_CannotStart

Also, the signal level is pretty much the same as the noise level:

2019-11-18 15:27:34.405 Info: AudioDataReadMBCount=1 chunkCount=24 currentSignalLevel=0.000167 currentNoiseLevel=0.000168 channel=0 recordingMode=Normal

Any hints?

Best,

Maciej.

Re: Proximity "Finding video systems..."

We finally found a solution. On MAC OS, changing “Audio Midi Setup” to 48 000 Hz helps.

Easiest way: press Command+Space -> type "audio midi setup" and hit Enter -> In Audio Devices config pane chose Built-in Microphone and set Format (drop-down list) to one having 48kHz / 48000Hz.

good luck :)

Maciej.
