I am using a DX80 on CE9 and proximity is enabled on the device. I can connected from my iphone no problem using the proximity app. On my Macbook pro, it says "wireless sharing disabled on DX80". I have reinstalled the program, checked for updates but still no luck. The macbook pro and the iphone are on the same wireless network.

It appears your DX80 has the proximity feature enabled, but not the wireless sharing from desktop clients. You or your administrator needs to enable this configuration:
xConfiguration Proximity Services ContentShare FromClients: Enabled

You are 100% correct as this was disabled. I tested it and it works like a charm.
Thank you,
