Great question! There’s a lot to say here.

First off, get it from us. Sure, you can find used Cisco gear from grey-market brokers, but it’s a pretty big risk. With them, while the price may be low, you’ll have little to no idea how well it was rebuilt, you may get a warranty, but it won’t be a Cisco warranty, and you may not have access to SmartNet support should you need assistance with the product. We don’t want you to have a poor experience with anything that has our name on it. When you get it from us, we take responsibility for the quality, we provide support, and we back it with a full warranty.

So—now that that issue is off the table, let’s talk about how you can get your hands on the genuine remanufactured goods.

Most of you purchase through partners, so that’s Avenue #1. Contact your partner rep and tell them you want in on the sweet, sweet benefits of Cisco Refresh. Unsure if your partner sells Refresh? Let me clear that up. ALL Cisco authorized partners are allowed to sell Cisco Refresh. Some of them are unaware of that fact, but now you know, and believe me—we are working hard to make sure all of them know as well. (Note: Some regions do not permit the sale of remanufactured equipment. If you’re unsure whether your region does, check with your preferred local partner.) Need to find an authorized Cisco partner? Visit our Partner locator.

Avenue #2: Contact a Cisco Refresh Sales Specialist directly. They will most definitely be aware of Cisco Refresh and should be happy to blend Refresh product into your next bill of materials. (Fun fact: no order has to be all new product or all remanufactured—it’s fine to blend both into the same order. The only limitation will be whether or not we have the product in our inventory.)

Hope that’s helpful! As always, reach out or post a question if anything is unclear.
