Since the original post not provided show version, not sure what license you have.

But to run BGP, you need IP Services

Thanks Mark,

How can i get this IP service ?

Hi Mark,

Can i put the below command to activate ?

#license right-to-use activate ipservices all

You can purchase of a local cisco reseller in your area or online
local ISP will sell them or check the partner link below
These are expensive licenses as they contain all L3 features available

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/partners.html

Online companies too
https://www.cdw.com/product/cisco-ios-ip-services-product-upgrade-license/3069949

I guess the License is already bought during the purchase. How can i check that?

Can i activate the License by below command ?

#license right-to-use activate ipservices all

Thanks in advance

it may have came with ipbase unless you planned to use BGP ?
most dont buy ipservice for switch unless you really need too

you would need to check with who you bought it off

For now you could use a 60 day free eval license included for ipservice

SUMMARY STEPS
1. license right-to-use activate{ipbase |ipservices | lanbase} {all | evaluation all } [slot slot-number] [ acceptEULA]

Will it erase the configuration after i reload?

how long will it take to reload after applying the command?

no doesn't effect configuration, takes about 10minutes to load up completely after a reboot

you can ask Cisco SE for the upgrade from exiting version to new ip services and apply that command it only enable the features what you looking.
