Cisco 1841 cant enter ROMmon mode

I am a intern and this is one of my quite new to working with actual hardware and software itself. I got this 1841 router that doesnt enter ROMmon mode when booting and pressing CTRL + C and Break in putty. It is urgent that i find out how to do this because i cant enter the conf t. This is the reason why i want to enter ROMmon to follow to password recovery.

here is the standard break key options :  ( putty it works for CTRL+Break)

Serial line settings : 9600 /8/1/None/None

Cisco 1841 has a compact flash where the IOS is stored. 
Power down the router, eject the CF and power up the router.

I ejected the flash then was able to boot in ROMmon > confreg 0x2142.

Then inject the flash and was able to normally enter the router.
