Hello Team,
I'm receiving cisco 4900 MLS.
But I found the software IOS is 4500 bashed on show ver below :

But I'm still feeling confused if it's possible to have the same L3 features mentioned in the above document with IOS of 4500. is it logical to have IOS 4500 ? or there is an original 4900 ISO that can give us the full features?
Not sure what commands, the IOS command reference for both should be same, until give note saying that this commands not going to work on Cat 4900

If I remembered correctly, a 4900M is actually built around a Sup6E inside.
Can it do routing? In a limited manner, yes. (License dependent).
Can it do VRF-Lite? Yes (license dependent).
Can it do MPLS/VRF? Nope.

Hello LEO ,
thank you for your reply.
Do you mean it needs IOS advanced services?
or there is another license that needed to be purchased?

If the current hardware can work as the info above, I'm ok, but I'm only worried if the chassis is 4900 and run as 4500 not to cover all L3 .
That's what makes me confused.
Regards
