Cisco ISE 2.7 to upgrade+HA configuration

I am having cisco ISE 2.7 verion base+plus license standalone environment now we are planning to upgrade and build high availability setup. please advise me can i upgrade 2.7 to 3.2 latest version? or  any upgrade path available.

how to configure HA pair in cisco ISE?

is it required same configuration which i have already one?

is this VM or appliance?

I will take out one appliance and build ISE 3.2 fresh install and restore the config and test it offline. ( also check the matrix of compatibility)

Once that is all working I move the ISE 3.2 in to production (making ha config ready)

If you are talking about High Availability like having a Primary Admin node and Secondary Admin node in a same deployment, then all servers in a deployment need to be on same version and patch.
