how do i boot from one ios to another one in same compact flash

hello i bought a used 2921 router from eBay. when i do show flash it has multiple ios images. my question is how do i boot from ios image to another one on the same compact flash card.

Firstly check the what images you have noted down the current one and below procedure to boot with second one.

 

show flash:  - which will show you both the images

show version | include image - this will show you current boot file

config t
boot system flash newimagename
!
end

reload -- and test it

Make sure you do this in change window, perform some task using console cable.

hey i tired this but it keeps booting up the same ios.

number 3 did nothing
