Obtaining ASA software to patch security vulnerability

We have an ASA 5508-X running version 9.9(1)2

How do we obtain the patched 9.9.2.61 version without SmartNet on the appliance?

Hi,

Open a TAC case and ask for a software fix for the vulnerability you are referring to. They should send you the software.

Initially when I called TAC they said to post my question here.  From your suggestion I opened a case online based on an ASA for which we have SmartNet and explained the ASA model and vulnerability listed in Cisco's security advisory for which we needed patched software but did not have current SmartNet.  Cisco TAC provided a temporary link to download the necessary software.
