Serial console output freezing/hanging via USB on OSX

I connect to the serial console port of Cisco equipment using OSX (Apple), a Logilink USB to 2xserial adapter and SecureCRT or (terminal/screen).

With most equipment this works smoothly but some equipment like 2960's and SGP switches the output in my terminal emulator freezes/hangs and only continues if I hit a space, enter or any other key (This is not the paging of output). This has happened with different USB to serial adapters, drivers, terminal emulators, etc.

Does anyone experience the same problem and even better has anyone found a solution to this problem?

Connect to /dev/tty.SLABxxx device instead of /dev/tty.usbxxxxx

Also, for new MacBook M3, there is no SLAB device. So you want to set the flow control off:

screen /dev/tty.usbserial-120 9600,-ixon,-ixoff
