Recently we have installed an ISR4431, with the firmware version 16.10.1a. We would like to use traditional licensing method to install PAK in the router, as the place where the router installed may not have the access to the cisco smart license portal.
As I have read that only old versions of the firmware support installation of licenses through traditional way. I would like to ask if we downgrade the router, then install the licenses, and what will happen if we upgrade the router again to firmware only support smart license (e.g. 16.10.1a). Will the installed licenses lost?
