Upgrade From Cisco 3850 Denali 16.3.9 to Fuji 16.9.6

Same kind of question asked three different ways, trying to reach my ultimate answer..

Does anyone know the steps required to upgrade from Danali to Fuji?

Will Denali 16.3.9 be a compatible jump to Fuji 16.9.1?

Will Danali 16.3.9 need to be upgraded prior to jumping to Fuji, if so which version?

You can upgrade to desired version -

1. when upgrading micro code will be upgraded automatically (means required more downtime)

2. take the backup config out of the box.

#request platform software package clean switch all
#copy tftp://<TFTP_IP_ADDRESS>/<FILENAME> flash: or use USB to copy
- check the HASH with the command verify /md5 flash:ios.bin )
#request platform software package install switch all file flash:IOS.bin on-reboot new auto-copy verbose
#sh boot
#reload

#request platform software package clean switch all
