Hi Guys,

We have WLC 3504 and 26 APs connected. We are experiencing issue with the speed on Wi-Fi it only goes 70 Mbps but on LAN it goes above 700 Mbps. Is there anything to be done on the WLC to increase the speed or any configuration to be done which I am missing.

Many factors can affect the result between "70 Mbps", such as:

1. What wired speed is the AP connected to, 10-, 100-, 1000 Mbps
2. What radio was this "70 Mbps" connected to
3. Configuration of the WLC
4. Wireless client capability.
5. And many others.

The most common reason we see a wireless client only capable of 70 Mbps are:

1. The wireless client is an old and the best is can do is 70 Mbps
2. Connected to 802.11b with one radio

thank you, Leo, for your reply as checked all the APs are on 1000 Mbps port. let me further investigate with the radio settings.

What is the model of the wireless NIC used to test this "70 mbps" and what is the wireless NIC driver version?

NIC: Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless - AC 8265
Drivers Version: 20.70.25.2

this was used for testing but even the macs are also showing the same speed.

Connect the wireless client to WiFi and post the complete output to the command "show client details <MAC ADDRESS>".
