Going to Cisco Live 2023 as a first timer. Need a newbie lesson!

Hello all,

Company is sending me to Cisco Live, and I have booked myself in the MGM Grand, and arriving on Sunday afternoon, and leaving on Friday morning. I went with the Explorer package (but can bump this up if needed). Now, my question is, what do I need to know? I've never been to Vegas, let alone to any conference of this size. Will I have time for casinos? Should I book a few shows in advance? Should I expect to be comp'd in food and drink or should I expect to pay out the nose for those big buffets? What about swag throughout the show, will a backpack be enough to carry it? Do I need to sign up for things beforehand? Will I end up spending all of my cash on hookers and blow?

With all this questions it seems that the CiscoLive conference is not the first priority for you. And yes, Vegas is huge and there are great shows. But with your tight time budget you likely only have time for CL *or* Vegas.

Best to follow the CiscoLive Twitter feed, many people have posted blogs with hints for people visiting CiscoLive the first time. These are my advises for first timers.
