Back Page not redirected for Host on Success

Dear WebEx Team,

The BackPage is not working for Hosts when they successfully join a meeting. However it is working when there is an error. For Attendees it is working on both the cases (success and error). What's can be the issue behind this? I get hostMeetingURL and then append "BU" parameter to it.

Hello,

GethosturlMeeting provides a 2 part URL API, including a login and a chained host meeting. When you append &BU=, your web browser views it as a part of the original URL, which is the login. BU only processes on error for the login command. To append the BU to the host meeting URL portion, you would need to URL encode the &, so it is processed as part of the second, chained URL. Using the example from the XML API guide:

https://rose22.webex.com/rose22/p.php?AT=LI&WI D=hostid&PW=pass&MU=https%3A%2F%2Frose22.webex.com%2Frose22%2Fm. php%3FAT%3DHM%26MK%3D48591508%26Rnd%3D0.9044222067369163%26BU=https://some.url

Thanks Nathan. It worked fine.

Hi Nathan,

This issue still exists when the user tries to connect using the mobile device. It is not redirecting to the back page for both the host and the attendee.

Hello,

BU isn't designed to work with the mobile client. Mobile browser redirects to mobile join page that hands off control to the mobile app and does not support redirection.

Hi Nathan,

Thanks for the reply. Is this item in your future or current planned feature list? We need it very urgently. As on a meeting entry success redirection we are adding some entries to the database. Further, Our client is very dissatisfied with the WebEx site being accessible to users directly, they want to show their own custom page. This is very urgent for us. Thank you.

Hello,

I don't believe there is any plan to support URL API functionality on mobile. At present, mobile page is designed to launch the mobile app, which is the intended method for WebEx usage on mobile. It is possible to add an automatic site redirect on your WebEx site that will launch an external page, your WebEx account manager can help if that is something you are wanting to do.
