Announcing Availability of Cisco Jabber for Mac 8.6.2
We are pleased to announce the availability of Cisco Jabber for Mac 8.6.2! This maintenance release is focused on defect resolution as well as adding support for OS X Lion and protocol handlers. The maintenance release has been posted to Cisco.com and deployed onto the Cisco WebEx Connect Org Administration Tool and is available for customers immediately.
Cisco Jabber now registers as a protocol handler for xmpp: and tel: URIs that may be exposed in other applications. By clicking on an xmpp: or tel: link or button in an application, it will either open a chat window or start a phone call in Cisco Jabber if Cisco Jabber is already running.
Thank you for your continued support and usage of Cisco Jabber for Mac! We hope that this release provides improved robustness and stability of the application through these critical changes and defect resolutions.
