Hi all,

We have meeting with each time different people. We've made a PDF document guide to help people activate audio and video. But it seems it's not enough as they're alway asking « how do I do it ? ».

My question is : Is there a way to auto activate audio for each one joining the meeting ?

Thank you,

Mario

There is no option for auto activation of audio/video when the user joins Web portion of the meeting. Users have to choose audio connectivity option (PC Audio, teleconference dial in, teleconference dial out) and then connect.

There are two options, but neither resolves this issue 100%:

Option #1 is to use WebEx Event Center and enable Audio Broadcast.

Pros:  Attendees are automatically connected to computer audio (VoIP) as they join the event.

Cons:  Attendees will be [basically] in listen-only mode; this is WebEx Event Center; not WebEx Meeting Center.

Option #2:  If your meeting attendees have WebEx Meeting Center accounts on the WebEx site where the meeting is being hosted, the newest release of WebEx allows WebEx hosts to set a flag in their profile that will automatically connect them to VoIP  as they join a meeting.

Pros:  Works great - solves the problem of figuring out how to connect to audio - it's 100% automated.

Cons:  It only works if it's a Meeting Center meeting, and the Attendee has an account on the site where the meeting is being hosted, and the WebEx Site Administrator has enabled this option in Site Administration, and the Attendee has set this preference in his/her profile and the attendee wants to join via VoIP, not a phone.

So if all the conditions of #1 or #2 are met, you can automate the process of connecting to audio in WebEx.
