Cisco IM and Presence Default Domains

Hi have a customer that is deploying cisco jabber for windows with full features, the customer as an internal domain that does not have a . (dot) at the end (ex .   exemple and not exemple.com) this makes the im addr  john@exemple, we notice that we can not have chat betwen the users , this could be due to the domain format ? , do we have to change to exemple.com ?

Hi,

You are absolutely correct. In order to have the chat feature working, you need to have the presence domain in example.com format.
