Cisco Jabber Custom Tabs Icon

OK,  What's the trick to getting Jabber to pick up the custom tab icon?

I'm running IM&P 10.5, and 11.7 on the client side.

My jabber-config.xml file has this format, the custom tab info shows correctly, just not the icon.

<tooltip>Your Custom Tab</tooltip>

<icon>http://your_server/your_custom_icon.png</icon>

<URL>http://your_Server/your_page.html</URL>

I've tried both a single 20x20 .png file and the older method where you needed images for each state, described here.

The HTML page is in the same location as my icon image, so I know the path is good.
Any pointers on the current method to get Jabber to use the .png file would be appreciated.

thx,

rob

I would try the following:

I would try the following:

- Launch a web browser, enter this URI to the browser's URI field - http://your_server/your_custom_icon.png. Do you get the image?

- Exit JFW. Run packet capture on your PC. Launch JFW. You should see JFW, trying to communicate to the server hosting the custom icons. See if there are any errors on the packet capture.

Rejohn,

Rejohn,

I can open a browser to the URL the icon is at, but interestingly enough, I am seeing 401 unauthorized errors from Jabber.
