Hi
We have cisco jabber 11.0 and its giving cannot communicate to the server error.
I tried to reset the jabber,recreate the user from EU config. Still getting the same error.
When I check in teh advanced settings there in the server window I am not seeing my server address.
I tried to change from automatic to manual by selecting the Cisco IM and presence server. then checked the use the following server address.
then save,results the same error.After that I go and check the server column and found empty value.Like this i am getting some few users.
How do i troubleshoot.

Are you using DNS SRVs??
Have you confirmed nothing is blocking communication??
No DNS issues??
Can you login with the same credentials to the user page??
Have you gathered a PRT and reviewed it???

Yes I tried to login with the sane credentials to the user page and it worked.
How do I check the DNS SRVsand DNS issues? Need to look at the PRT files.

That's basic networking... use nslookup for SRVs and, DNS, well, make sure you have the right DNS settings and servers are pointing to the right server.
