Hi,
Cisco Jabber on a iPhone/iPad to work with Cisco UCM 9 works just like with any other version, but that isn't the case for the Jabber Windows client.
Can the Cisco Jabber Windows client work as a softphone with Cisco UCM 9? If so, how is that configured?
I'm thinking it doesn't and is a replacement for the CUPC (in a CUPS environment) because the Cisco Jabber connection state only list Cisco WebEx or Cisco Unified Presence. It doesn't list Cisco UCM like the Cisco Jabber client on an iPad. Is this the case?
Thanks in advanced?

The Cisco Unified Presence (CUP) server product was renamed in 9.0 to IM & Presence (IM&P) but continues to serve the same function. The per-user configuration (e.g. LDAP profile, voicemail profile, etc) that used to be done in CUP Admin has been moved to CUCM Admin to provide a more streamlined administration experience.
So, yes Jabber can work with CUCM 9.0 for CSF softphones. It still requires the IM&P servers though.
