Cloud Connector - Avatar URI Pattern

I cannot find any documentation on how to use the "Avatar" tab in the Cloud Connector.  What should the format of this be for the URL with variable?  I cannot seem to get it to work.

We will update the documentation here: Cisco Cloud Connector User Guide.pdf

Louis

Thanks, any idea when that might be posted?  Any way you can just give a quick hint on how to set this up in the meantime?

Step 1  From the Directory Connector, go to Configuration, and then click Avatar.

Step 2  Enter the Avatar URI Pattern—For example, http://www.example.com/dir/photo/zoom/{mail: .*?(?=@.*)}.jpg

The avatar URI pattern must be reachable from the internet.

Step 3  Enter the Variable Value—For example: abcd@example.com.

Step 4  Click Test.

Example:

In this example, if the mail value for one AD entry is abcd@example.com, the Final Avatar URI is http://www.example.com/dir/photo/zoom/abcd.jpg

Step 5  After the URI information is verified, check Enabled, and then click Apply.

Hi guys,

Has anyone gotten the Cisco Directory Connector to synchronize Avatars successfully? I'm using a web server that's hosting the avatar images with image file names matching the user's sAMAccountName. The avatar URI pattern is: http://s-vm-psql01/staffphoto/{sAMAccountName}.jpg and testing with a test variable works results in a valid Final Avatar URI that reachable from the browser.

What's not documented is how Webex Teams maps the Avatar URI to the user and what attribute is used.

Has anyone gotten this to work succesfully?

We have ours configured the same way as this, and also cannot get it to work. Tried mapping to different attributes and the test always looks good, but the Avatars never upload (although it shows 100% on the Connector)

Has anyone out there managed to get this to work?
