CUCM Auto Registration - Reject/Accept on endpoint model type

Hi

I was wondering if there was a way to selectively reject certain model of endpoints from registering to CUCM.

Context:

We have a deployment with multiple clusters. The large cluster which has got Audio endpoints and another one which hosts video/conferencing endpoints.

At the time when someone from local branch connects the video endpoints to the switch, the port configuration defaulted to vlan which gets them DHCP/TFTP of the cluster handling audio endpoints.

Due to logistical and process challenges, we can't

1. Identify the port and change its VLAN ahead of time

2. Statically configure the IPs on the endpoints.

I know one possible solution might be using ISE/SD-Access to identify endpoints but just wondering if there was something in the CUCM, we could possibly do to selectively reject certain model of endpoints.

No, CUCM cannot do that, if the endpoint is supported in the CUCM version and there are DNs available in the pool, they will auto-register.
